Recently Maxi-Cosi put a shout out on Facebook asking anyone who wanted to test drive the New Loola to apply. Now being a rather large Maxi-Cosi product lover I couldn’t wait to fill in that application.
I am stood very tall (or as tall as I can for a 5ft nothing person) and proud to announce that I have been selected as one of the 10 parents to really put the Loola through its paces and to share the good, the bad and the ugly, over the coming weeks.
As some of you will already know the original Loola and the Loola Up I adored and had both (in fact the Loola even appeared in my Wedding pictures!) however personally for me there were some frustrating issues with the old Loola that really were annoying … its super wide base and its almost useless shopping basket to name just two … who needed to visit the shops anyway!
So when the New Maxi-Cosi Loola arrived it was time to see if I could actually put this rather sleek looking pushchair together without needing a degree in engineering, this Jaime Oliver does not do technical nor does she cook …
Without the aid of some culinary masterpiece for this pushchair party and the fact I am not a patient person and didn’t want to waste time going to the shops I set off with just my less than technical brain and an empty tummy to see how easy or hard this would be:
The whole process for me I am pleased to report only took me 10 minutes, I think that most parents will find the assembly quite straightforward. I didn’t use the instructions however after the assembly I did take a peek at them…. obviously just for double checking purposes only you understand.
If I am honest and if you know me you will know it is one of my floors which in the past has got me into trouble, the instructions are bordering on rubbish! They are printed on one of the smallest instruction books I have come across in a long while and I fear the size of the pages impacts on the ability to understand them. Bigger instructions please Maxi-Cosi although only for double checking purposes you understand!
Although we have yet to get out and about with the Loola I am pleased to say I have spotted some of my previously favourite features like the easy seat recline, Oversized hood and the all-important wheel adjustment switch which is located on the frame for ease of use and for keeping my fingers clean!
So the question is ……. Will there be anything that rains on this pramaholics pushchair parade? … we will see!
