I have to admit that the child free years of New Years Eves out getting legless and merry are pretty far at the back of my mind and for the last few years at least our New Year’s Eve has consisted of good food, good viewing and family.
So this year being 8 months pregnant it would be fair to say tonight is about family and celebrating together here at home.
Ollie has already told Joshua (aged 4) that he can stay up and watch us count down to the new year, however the reality of that and the theory are I am afraid going to differ widely.
So this New Years Eve we have on our comfy PJ’s on already this afternoon and have an array of viewing intended but with the help of some Netflix magic this year we can count down the New Year with Joshua, albeit a few hours earlier … or 10 seconds before he heads to bed as they have ingeniously created countdowns for kids from tots to tweens all you have to do is get the kids to choose from Oona and Baba of Puffin Rock, Care Bears & Cousins, the Project Mc2 girls, and all of their DreamWorks Animation friends including King Julien and Mr. Peabody & Sherman.or you could watch more than one if your little folks can’t decide!
We are planning on King Julien and Mr Peabody and Sherman! … However as much as an adult evening would be nice we are hoping our little guys holds out a little longer than normal bedtime at 7!
I know we will not be alone in staying in with children, so whatever you have planned with your little people this evening from this Madhouse to yours we are wishing you a great night in and a healthy and happy New Year.

Disclaimer: I have not been compensated for this post, I just love the idea behind the countdowns with Netflix.
