This month I will be actively taking part in a mini challenge via CSMA Club, I will be given a task each week to fit our family and lets face it I love a good challenge and to make some memories as its believed that trying something new leaves a lasting impression in your memory.
This week it was Visit A New Place.
Now for this one there were so many possibilities on where we could go but since for Hubby and I one of our favorite pastime is movies it made sense to us to make some memories taking Joshua (age 3.5) to the cinema for the first time.
Obviously for Ollie and I the cinema is not a new place (although it was a new film).. in fact when we are child free (which is not often we can be found watching horror or thriller type films there! so to finally take the little guy to see what he would make of it was lovely.
Joshua choose some pic’n’mix with Daddy, he got comfortable in his seat to watch Planes 2 and then tried to sweet swap with Daddy.
It was amazing that other than us 3 there was only one mum and child in there so it made for a perfect first cinema experience with less distraction than if it had been full.
After 35 minutes of trailers (I kid you not) the film started and Joshua did well until the last 20 minutes he began to get fidgety and went from watching the film from the floor with his head between the seats in front to cuddling Daddy.
I am so glad we got this time together and got to both go with him for his first time at the cinema.
I have no doubt he totally loved it as he have been talking about it ever since.
