Recently we were asked if we would like to have ago at playing the new Splatoon game on Wii U and we jumped at the chance.
Splatoon is a rather unique level game that is completely addictive and it is exactly as its name suggests … you splat as much of your territory by covering it in ink as possible and the team that claims the most turf wins! ….
On the first playing Beth was, I have to say rather good and she soon showed the rest of us how to squid around in our own ink along with our team members ink if playing in team mode to complete challenges and to take victory!
I have to say I found this game utterly enthralling and addictive and it one that totally had me jumping in my seat when being fired at from an opposing team!
The gist is easy to understand and you don’t need to be a gaming genius to be able to play! … Although it’s a pegi7 rating so that will explain why perhaps I got rather good at it!
Don’t forget if you have got this game that painting the walls means you can squid and swim in the ink to take the vantage points! (it took me a while to get it!)
We have yet to get to good but for the time being we are loving learning and practicing … although I have my heart set on finally getting a roller!
After playing we still have yet to discover a method to play more than one player at a time …. – here is hoping that in the future there is an update to allow more than one player at a time play … now that would be super funny!
Overall we have loved this game and so far its a family favourite with us.
