OK confession time once more … are we sitting comfortably?
Then I shall begin …
I am obsessed with bags … and when I mean bags I mean nappy bags.
While pregnant with Joshua and his first year or so a nappy bag was just a bag, somewhere to dump everything you need to hump round when you find a small being in your vicinity.
However after buying a second-hand nappy bag after a disastrous afternoon involving a broken strap, giant puddle and more swear words than I ought to admit too I bought my very first OiOi changing bag and it became a very strong love affair with the OiOi brand.
OiOi Changing bags are designed to be super practical but yet immensely beautiful … yes beautiful!
Every aspect of their bags are throughly thought out and designed to withstand the rigours of life with a small person.
While pregnant with Jacob this time I bought another of their bags (although its now discontinued) and loved that too so when I went to the Kind and Jugend Trade Show in Germany last year OiOi were one of my must visit stands to see what would be coming out this year…. Needless to say I was excited.
Fast forward a little, Jacob arrived as did an offer to try out one of OiOi’s new range, the Black Nylon Slouch Hobo and I was beyond excited after all nothing tests a nappy bag to the limits than a super small baby and the endless stuff you need to take for every single eventuality.
So over the last few months I have been test driving the OiOi Back Nylon Slough Hobo so I can give you the low down on how it’s helped us cope with the plentiful tat that babies need.
Firstly I was mega impressed with the most wonderful feature on this bag that wasn’t on my others and thats the extender zip that runs round the bottom of the bag that means on those days that the normal level of tat is not going to cut it you can fill it with yet more! … and with the help of the super inside pocketed section, pockets on the front and the bonus one on the back I know where all my stuff is all the time so no emptying it out on the floor to find my keys or purse and even the teething ring.
I love the leather handle of this bag it’s a great length for using over the shoulder but if the shorter strap is not for you it does also come with a long across body style strap too, I used this more for chucking over the pram handle bar when hitting the ground running on outings.
If you don’t like that method of attaching the bag to the pushchair this beauty comes with proper clips to hang the changing bag from the handlebar too!
This beautifully versatile changing bag comes with some lovely extras that come pretty much as standard across the OiOi range, a wonderfully padded changing mat, wipes case, wet pouch and insulated bottle holder (that holds wide neck and standard neck sized bottles)
Having compared the changing mat to others at playgroup I have to say this one is a lot more padded than the other 7 brands I compared this one against and Jacob seems more than comfortable on it.
This nappy bag has eaten up every single challenge I have thrown at it and not only does it still look like new its saved my bacon, after all not all nappy bags can handle day-to-day life, weekends away and day trips carrying everything the whole family need and not all of them my husband would be happy to use too … but this one was a hit.
The OiOi Black Nylon Slouch Hobo Nappy Bag has certainly become part of the family.
The OiOi Black Nylon Slouch Hobo bag retails currently at £89.99 at www.oioibaby.co.uk
