This summer we have our holiday booked for one of our favourite places, Whitby.
We are heading off there with my in-laws and can’t wait.
With lots of outings in the planning stages, or on Hubs to do list anyway there is one activity that is high on the list of must do’s … Crazy Golf
When we have been to Whitby either with family or on our own that cliff top crazy golf course has been visited several times while there and this trip is going to be no exception.
However there is an exception, Ollie has declared war and turned this fun family past time into a cup challenge as he thinks he is going thrash everyone and win all week.
So on arriving home from work last week Ollie suggested we head off to a crazy golf course a short drive away at Ramsdale Gold Course called The Adventures of Mr Mulligan and I have to admit to getting a slightly bit excited at being able to thrash my husband … OK so it might not be just him that is competitive.
With 18 holes to play the first of the practice games was underway.
I have to point out that excitement levels from Joshua were through the roof and Ollie sulked for the first few minutes at having to be score keeper … although the thoughts of trying to beat me won him over!
The course I have to say was really cool and with some fantastically arranged obstacles I was not on top form which Ollie thoughts was hilarious.
By hole 7 and exceptionally brilliant hole in one, my game play had improved much to Ollie’s disgust and Joshua’s come to that, the only one that couldn’t give a monkeys was baby Jacob that slept through the whole thing.
Next on the hole in one front was Joshua with his amazing fluke of a hole in one and he celebrated with jumping and wist pumping and mocking his Dad … which in fairness he had every right to do as he did not manage a hole in one at all, even if he won through at the end.
I am so pleased that at the beginning of this year we made a pledge to make more of finding time to do things as a family, we have had some wonderful days out off the back of it. I think with the competition still a while off we will certainly be getting in some further practice afternoons in.
