For many this year has been one of the worst years for celebrities and famous folk dropping like flies.
However for us 2016 has been one of our better years.
In February we were blessed with the birth of our second son, Jacob and we spent the following few months watching him grow and seeing Joshua develop into a wonderfully caring big brother has been a beautiful sight to see!
Overall this year, even with a baby in tow it seems that finally life is calmer, our family time has increased and I am enjoying my family instead of feeling life was secondary to stress like it had been previously.
In the summer we were lucky to enjoy quality family time with a wonderful family holiday to one of our favourite places, Whitby. We watched Jacob dip his toes in the sea for the first time and experienced sand in those nooks and crannies!
We took part in The Oliver’s Cup Challenge playing mini golf and although we didn’t win the challenge is still very real and we are looking forward to a rematch in 2017!
This year has seen our youngest son thrive into a cheeky, determined little fella, who likes nothing more than a good thumb suck and cuddle when tired, that is if you can catch him now he is mobile that is.
Joshua’s confidence has come on in leaps and bounds, winning numerous trophies at football training and he is really establishing some lovely little friendships.
October half term we took a break at Flamborough on the east coast that started dreadfully with no water and ended on a wonderful note of Jacob crawling.
This year I have seen not one but 3 of my best friends have babies! Stacey in January and Tina and Franki in December so Jacob is certainly going to have some excellent playmates!
The only negative this year has been my health.
With major issues with my reconstructive surgery booked for February 2017 these last few months physically of 2016 have been exceptionally hard to cope with, especially now Jacob is so mobile.
All in all 2016 has been a year packed with epic highs, a year that has seen our family grow and thrive and a year that will always be etched into my heart as one of our best.
Heres to finding out what 2017 will bring us.
