The festive season brought many things to us this year … arguments, a teen grounding a toddler tantrum, illness and even gallstones.
But I have to say it was still fantastic.
A few days before Christmas I was diagnosed as having gallstones (the cause of some of my problems and pain of recent months) which left me in dire agony from Christmas afternoon till Boxing Day tea time… However this really doesn’t take away from the magic that was Christmas.
Christmas Eve set the stall this festive season with some major family time, lunch with my in-laws and then buffet tea with my parents both of which we hosted and amazingly without issue, breakdown or argument on who was doing the washing up!
Early Christmas morning saw the amazing look on Joshua’s face as he unwrapped his Krabby Patty Remote Controlled Spongebob Car, or the look on Bethany’s face as she unwrapped her new pink laptop she knew nothing about. To top it off I didn’t burn Christmas lunch, nor fall asleep for too long in the afternoon.. so all in all I would say that in itself is an epic achievement!
Boxing Day followed in a world of pain for me and work for Ollie but fat pants and movies are always the way to go at Christmas aren’t they? which in fairness was perhaps a good job as that is how I spent the whole day, but I still managed to watch the snow fall.
So there you have it our Christmas 2014 …. there were some blips but even those didn’t hold it back from being fantastic….
Now lets sit tight and see what 2015 brings….
