Way back when at the end of January we had the pleasure of staying at The Royal Garden Hotel in London.
The hotel is located directly next door to Kensington Gardens and so on the morning before we headed home after our family adventure in London we headed over with a scooter loaned by the hotel to take in some fresh air and take a look.
Kensington Gardens is made up for several mini gardens all spread out at different parts of the site and Kensington Palace is located in the Gardens too!
The Palace looked slightly boring behind all the bling of the gates, although when didn’t get to visit inside as it was closed that early in the morning but it is on our list to visit again in the future.
The well maintained paths made for some amazing scooting terrain and being plenty wide enough to all walk along together and with some tunnels and tree-lined walk ways it was a joy to walk round even in the rather fresh air!
We discovered some very vibrant residents that where all to excited to come and say Hi to people passing by and to stop for some breakfast too!
Just another reason to love London and its uniqueness!
We only got to explore about a third of the park on this visit but have already decided that once the weather picks up and we are in London next we are going to head back to take some more time to explore and to hopefully sit in the sunshine and eat a picnic…. Although maybe not so close to the wildlife, after all we don’t want to share.
Since this is a first visit I can honestly say we have developed a new love for exploring in the big smoke so watch this space as I am sure there will be plenty more adventures in London to come.
