Today is our wedding anniversary, 6 whole years we have been married but altogether we have been a couple of 8 years.
It’s been a whirlwind, with the arrival of 2 boys during our time together and several new jobs between. Then there is the in sickness and in health aspect of our vows. Seriously with 6 major operations between us we are both physically dropping to pieces just to add to the fun.
During our years together we have been immensely lucky to have had wonderful friends and family supporting us, sharing in our joy and our frustrations but on the day we got married we decided to keep it just for us.
With Joshua and Beth we eloped to Whitby to become The Oliver’s with just us 4. No elaborate ceremony, no bells and whistle, just a lady to do my hair and make up and wonderful photographer who travelled to Whitby on the day to capture our most special day.
The day was perfect with blue skies and with all of us so relaxed. We dressed and went round the corner to Whitby registry office were I cried happy tears at the kids walked down the aisle to us where I married my best friend.
We headed off to the beach for a few hours after our vows and captured our family in care free photographs on the beach that means the world to us.
So my dear Husband 6 years is no mean feat. We have fought and fell out, shouted and screamed and been driven insane by frustrations …. but we are still together. Still on the same page, still wanting the same things and still very much looking forward to what our family’s future has in store.
Yes, Ollie I can be a miserable cow, and I have no doubt I have driven you to distraction over the years but know this …. You drive me nuts too, but I still love you more than you probably will ever realise.
Happy Anniversary
