Being a Bostik blogger we get a fantastic array of crafting material sent once a month and this month was no different with a super range of craft materials we decided to split some of ours into different crafts instead.
First on the list was to have ago at some peg people – although bedtimes loomed so we only got one person done this time.
We wrapped around a quarter of a felt sheet and secured it with glue dots, we then used Bostik’s all purpose glue over the peg persons clothes and Joshua decorated it using sequins.
The arms were made by cutting a lolly stick in half and then covered with the same felt to make the arms. Joshua then stuck on the foam hands, eyes and hair and then I attached the peg persons arms for him.
Technically it was probably not brilliant but Joshua had a great time making it so we will have to make the second one in a week.
With a few minutes to spare while the bath was running we decided to have ago at some really simple threading (this is the first time Joshua has done this) and we used pipe cleaners as they are easier for a first time to thread the ends.
Joshua love this and took great delight in the different beads and shapes and after he did such a fantastic job with this first attempt we are going to get some more beads and I think we could have ago at making some more of these.
Today’s activities were both fairly quick to do so it rebuilt my confidence in keeping crafting simple and not stressing myself out too much.
We still have plenty of materials available and Daddy’s has decided he is going to have ago at some crafting with Joshua soon so it will be fab to see what he can come up with to make.
Disclaimer: We were sent this selection of crafting supplies for the purposes of this post, however all opinions and experiences are from members of The Oliver’s Madhouse.
