I have to say I can’t quite believe I am 8 whole months pregnant …
With this my third pregnancy I am a little blown away at just how quickly it has gone, with my first I seemed to be pregnant forever and with my second I had so many complications it was like a rollercoaster of ups and downs that did in fact last an eternity.
This time round I seem to have blinked and missed it, I have the full on pregnancy waddle and in a matter of days we should know what our elective section date or should I say our baby’s birthday is!
I have started making plans for batch cooking meals for the few weeks after he has arrived and I have started packing the bags for hospital, which I have found far less stressful this time round.
Over the next few days I am also going to setting up our Shnuggle Dreami and our Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus car seat as they have both arrived and are the final pieces we were waiting for before baby gets here and I can’t tell you just how excited I am about getting those ready for his arrival!
I have hit the pregnancy insomnia stage and I now get up around 8 times a night and although I am loving being pregnant this time round I am so not liking this insomnia in fact I dread bedtime. The only bonus for this is that fact I am well and truly ready for night time feeds!
My weight gain to this point was only a few pounds through the pregnancy, meaning I had lost weight which was excellent as I was obviously overweight before I got pregnant so loosing weight carefully was my overall hope but I wasn’t sure I was actually able to keep my weight down.
Thankfully at 8 months pregnant I have only added 8lbs 13ozs total so far … which I am utterly amazed and thrilled about! …Since my lightest baby to date was 8lbs 4ozs I can totally say I have lost weight throughout and I am hoping this will help massively with my recovery after my cesarean section in a few weeks time.
My pelvis which has been painful for the last 5 years with SPD has reached epic pain levels and I am now in excruciating and dreading the return of the school run in January as I know its going to be so painful…. Roll on later this week when we are hoping the consultant will be able to give us an elective section date so at least I have something to work towards.
We have a name picked out and ready and from this point it really is now a waiting game!
