This week its all been about illness … I finally succumbed to the dreaded lurgy that has been knocking each member of the family of their feet .. its not been pretty, in fact its been down right painful!
Saturday 7th February – Our friend Jim’s birthday, after Beth went to her Dad’s and Joshua was deposited at his Grandma’s we headed off with a group of friends to Nottingham for an afternoon of drinking and catching up … this is the Nottingham Eye that last week Ollie tried to get me on .. even with alcohol I did not relent!
Sunday 8th February – A lazy day for us, Although no major headaches we are just unpracticed in the art of boozy weekends and so it was extreme tiredness and a raging cold .. Once back from a River walk with Grandma there was some serious playing to done for Joshua.
Monday 9th February – I was going to make a start on my walking mission .. however this is as far as my shoes got since I have been super poorly all day
Tuesday 10th February – I took a look round our home for a blog post as nik naks and trinkets that have been part of The Oliver’s love story and had to include these Whitby Lucky Ducks! Thankfully I was feeling much better too!
Wednesday 11th February – A trip to the park with my men folk, although since we were the only ones on it, we all made the most of it!
Thursday 12th February – After a hospital consultation with the hubby, as he was seeing a spinal consultant it seems surgery is on the cards .. and when we got home I was looking through our new cards from Mango Salute to get some written and sent for some upcoming birthdays, there were some lovely ones to choose from.
Friday 13th February – I am tired and emotional and full to the brim of lurgy again .. but this little fella made me smile while I was cleaning up…. well for the bit I did anyway.
Here is hoping that the lurgy leaves me soon .. I am cranky and tired!
How has your week been?
