I am not sure what it is about babies and bathrooms but in what seems like no time at all my bathroom was awash (OK pun maybe intended) with squeezy toys, ducks swimming plastic fish and a multitude of plastic suction toys that seem to forever remain attached to the bath .. causing some rather odd indents in some really rather unmentionable places.
So after winning a recent competition with my Bathroom Titivation post I have finally got the ball rolling at long last and have started preparing for the outing of the bath toys!
Not completely you understand, I know my teen already thinks of me as an evil Mother but as of yet my pre-schooler still thinks I am cool, so in order to not rock the boat and to keep my record semi clean on the mothering stakes … well except for the time I nearly forgot to pick him up from Nursery or the time when … *cough cough* maybe I ought to leave that there but you get my gist right?!
For me regaining the bathroom really is about space .. and more importantly storage, to
ram hide all those precious plastic toys out of sight in safety.
So my first port of call in the purchasing stakes had to be a vanity unit and one in which I could fit in as much as possible without my OCD ways catching sight of the
toys precious plastic tat so we opted for a 3 draw, 2 drawer combo.
Now this is where my story stops … as of yet there is no end, you see the story of my life is whenever we undertake one job in this house we discover other issues … rather like taking 20 minutes to battle your way into braking a chocolate orange only to find on the moment it breaks up it hits the floor .. yep that
It seems the work carried out when we first moved in was a bit of a bodge it and scarper scenario and the
moron under qualified gentleman in fact did not put our floor boards back properly, nor did he seal the shower when he fitted it and now the bathroom floor in parts is rotten and we are having to replace it.
However much to my disgust about not getting my bathroom finished I am so totally loving my new vanity unit!
So bathroom domination is so near yet so far …. one day it will be mine!
