Over the last few days we have been making the most of the Young Chef’s Baking Set that has been sent over from Bigjigs for my little Joshua Jigs to put it through its paces!
This little set really is super cute and contains:
Six-bun baking tray,
Six pastry cutters
Set of measuring spoons
Which was more than enough for my little guy to get pretend baking! After creating some Salt Dough Joshua got his bake on .. quite literally.
I have to say I really loved the six-bun baking tray, it is super cute but also super sturdy and in fact is far better than mine!
By far the little shape cutters and rolling-pin where Joshua’s favourite with the salt dough we have been using and they were not too sharp for little fingers but still did a fab job of cutting the dough.
I loved the little ramekin and we in discussions as to what to cook with that one, although trying to explain to Joshua that baked beans in the microwave may have confused him .. Either that or her really doesn’t think much to my cooking and convinced I nuke all my food!
The paper cupcake cases were a super thoughtful touch in the kits and had we had some cake mix we may have even got round to some real live baking instead of pretend .. but with lots of life left in the set I have no doubt that will be next on our list.
Pricing wise this Young Chef’s Baking Set currently retails at £11.99 which I think for what is included is fantastic.
My only suggestion with this bundle is that, by giving shape cutters and no tray to bake the cookies for me its a little odd especially since if you are making cakes it has everything you will ever need. For me I personally would love to see a mini baking tray in there instead of the ramekin, but that is personal preference really.
Another well priced toy Bigjigs, we have had loads of fun and can’t wait to have plenty more.
