Now its been a well documented fact on this blog I am not the biggest shopper but recently I did find myself purchasing a new Tunic top to wear for my birthday and after searching high and low in my usual haunts I eventually ventured into Bonmarche. Don’t get me wrong I had not purposefully discounted Bonmarche, however I had presumed that they only catered for the more mature lady if you like.
However with this misconception soon evaporating out the window once I entered I found myself in a whole world of classic, stylish items for women of all ages! However if you want a boob tube and hot pants you are better looking elsewhere, or maybe consider what you’re buying them for in the first place!
Now for my birthday I loved the feel of my Tunic and vowed to return for more!
Thankfully I didn’t have to wait very long, as the lovely folk over at Bonmarche must have heard my husbands panic at realising I had found ‘the shop’ I wanted to spend time in as they asked me if I would like to review something from their new range.
Needless to say I was beyond excited and hubby was more than relieved at the prospect of me not wanting his wallet! ….. for now!
While looking for my review item I have to say I struggled, not because I couldn’t find anything, more the fact I had a list of about 15 items and could only pick one! (although I still have the list and will be adding some things to my Christmas list for Hubby to buy)
I am a massive fan of multi-purpose items and find that tunics give me that, I can wear jeans or leggings and dress up or down depending on my needs. I also find that for someone on a weight loss journey they are cut beautifully to skim and sit just right. (no tipping in required!) and with a wide range of sizes it caters for everyone without making people feel conscious, whatever size they are in.
So what item did I pick to try?:
This one and I love it, I love the colours and the neckline and at a more than reasonable £20.00 I think this is now one of my key wardrobe essentials!
Although I have my eye on several bits for Christmas I have decided I need something beautiful for my Hockey Christmas Party …. ssshhhh don’t tell Ollie, but since I am now smoke free I may treat myself to this one:
