Well where to start, When Beth was about 3 years old we discovered Build A Bear for the first time. The idea of being able to fill your bear with love and care had my daughters heart captured. With Joshua turning 3 it was time to see if Joshua would love the concept as much as Beth, as we headed off to our local store.
When we arrived we greeted by a lovely friendly assistant who could not of been more helpful and engaging. She was really patient with the children while they selected their bears .. or in our cases a monkey and a fox!
There really is a massive range to choose from and with the extra special limited Easter bears it really was a massive job choosing!
Having not been for a few years I have to say I was absolutely taken aback by just how much the concept has grown, with outfits for every occasion, including shoes accessories and beautiful bear furniture it was amazing! the store was filled with to the brim with bear goodness!
The children took it in turns to fill their selected bears with stuffing, hearts and even a smell! .. yep you read it right you can now add a scent to your bear!! (I thought that was fantastic!)
They selected sounds and hearts and the bears were complete.
Once the bears were completed it was time to select the outfits, dress and make birth certificates!! …. so there is Malcolm the Monkey and Daniel the Fox for us! one in his trendy jean and hoodie combo and the other in a firemans outfit! both including shoes! … that even have paw prints on the bottom! (its the simple things that I love)
Build A Bear do parties too and are flexible at working within a budget you set budget so this is something we may think about doing for Joshua next year.
I loved the quality of the bears and the outfits and with varying prices for both there is lots to choose from too! What I really loved however was the concept, its not just about making a bear its about the child being involved in making the perfect bear for them.
Thank you Build A Bear on such an amazing time!
