I have been really lucky to get the opportunity recently to try out the Bumbo Multi Seat with Jacob and I am going to share how we found using it with you today.
Now I have to be honest and say that I have never been a big fan of ‘seat’ or booster seats for kids to use round the home or on chairs.
However I am going to take it all back and here is why:
I don’t know if it’s because I am parenting for the third time round or just I’m older and tighter with the purse strings than I have been before but I am seriously considering getting rid of the other product I must have just this item alone.
If you have yet to discover the Bumbo Multi Seat, it’s pegged as a 3 in one seat. It can be used from 6 months as a supportive floor seat moving onto a feeding seat and then onto a booster seat at the table.
Now firstly what I love about the seat is that it is fully adjustable, with its removable foam inner seat which can be taken off and stored in the base, the base that can be taken off and turned round to give a second height option, the adjustable 3 point harness and the retractable and adjustable straps to hold the seat to a kitchen chair.
Did I mention the straps retract? Well, we found this to be a super feature especially when moving from home to holiday and even grandparents houses as they retract back inside the seat and the clips push into the holder on the outside.
The base is really wide and we found it to be super stable on all the chairs we have used it on which was great for peace of mind.
Changing the seat to the final stage is something we did once Jacobs little legs were to pudgy to fit comfortably and I expected it to be really fiddly. However I am pleased to say that removing the foam inner was really easy and being able to store the foam inner inside the seat itself if even more of a genius idea. I hate having to store baby products parts separate to the product as I never seem to find them again. Even the tray slots into the back of the seat so even if I am not going to use the tray again with Jacob as its now a little to small for him its all compact and amazing for our small kitchen.
I can honestly say that now Jacob is 18 nearly 19 months I am seriously considering moving him to the booster seat permanently and gaining some flow space back in the kitchen.
For the £49.99 price tag I think it’s a super investment that offers longevity for parents and if you have a small space at home then this product ticks 3 boxes with a small price tag to boot.
Its one of the most adjustable parent and child friendly seat we have used. Although my only criticism is that the straps that hold the chair in place could do with being slightly shorter as on our Ikea kitchen chairs even on the shortest setting we had to wind the straps round the legs to get it short enough to stop any wiggle room
I personally love this seat and wish we had discovered it months ago!
