A little while ago I was asked if I would consider reviewing a Dyson Pure Cool Link Tower Purifying Fan and I have to say I was beyond excited.
Firstly I have an obsession with my Dyson Vacuum and love the brand on a whole but with the brands products at the higher end of the market in terms of price, for me I am looking for it to not only do what its intended for but to do it well.
Since the Dyson Pure Cool Link Tower Purifying Fan has not been round for very long and being slightly addicted to apps I was thrilled to find out this fan not only assists in keeping cool but the purifying part of if can all be monitored by an app on my phone.
I know might sound incredibly cheesy but I love being able to visually see when something is improving or not as the case maybe.
What is the Dyson Pure Cool Link Tower Purifying Fan?
This fan can help control your environments air quality and by automatically removing 99.95% of all airborne allergens and pollutants, even as small as 0.1 microns making the air cleaner using a 360° glass HEPA filter which has been designed to remove bacteria, pet dander, pollen and even paint fumes to name just a few!
Using the latest smart connectivity that is inbuilt you can remotely control the fan or use it on it auto mode by setting it to your desired level and it just does it thing quietly in the corner.
Unboxing and setup
When it arrived I was shocked, the box was far lighter than I thought it would be at 3.70kg. Our old tower style fan had been fairly weighty and cumbersome so it was nice to find something lighter meaning we could move it round the room and from room to room if needed more easily.
Setting this up was really easy with its step by step guide and once the app is downloaded onto your phone it really is super simple to get it up and running via your phone.
It connects through your home wi-fi network and after you enter your password on your phone to allow the unit access you link up your unit to your app and your away!
The Dyson Pure Cool Link Tower Purifying Fan also comes with a really easy to use remote control too with options to turn the machine on and off, turn onto auto, alter the fan speed, turn to oscillating or stationary and even to turn it onto night-time mode to dim the display.
Ease of use
The super news is that you don’t need a degree in computer science to work this even though its jam-packed with technology! … Phew!
Once the initial set up has taken place you literally either run it manually with the remote or phone app or you can set it up to auto and set your levels and leave it to it!
Noise During Use
The Dyson Pure Cool Link Tower Purifying Fan has been awarded the Quiet Mark by the Noise Abatement Society so I was interested to see just how quiet or not so quite it was and I can reliably inform you that from 1-4 is practically silent, settings 5-7 can be fractionally heard and then settings from 8-10 are obviously slightly louder but when I say louder I mean Dyson loud not standard fan loud as even at its highest setting its quieter than a normal tall fan on its low setting! when ours is that high we can still hear the TV and not turn it up to compensate for the noise as we have done in the past with other fans.
It is fairly expensive at around £449, it’s certainly not the cheapest on the block but personally that hasn’t put me off since its made a super improvement on the air quality in the house that was noticeable with my Hay Fever symptoms over the last week with less itch and far less snot.
It was super easy to install and set up and it has been a total joy to have round the house for the relief of the Hey Fever symptoms but also with the fan too, it may not be an air conditioning unit but it was super effective at circulating air and making the room cooler.
All in all with the 2 year Dyson guarantee I adore this machine! … So much so I am going to be on hubsters case for the smaller version upstairs!
