What is it about retro and quirky sweets that sets those memory banks on fire? … no really I don’t remember all the old retro sweets, but I certainly had my favourites as a child, alphabet letters, chocolate cups, black jacks and cola cubes it really is a like sweet memory overload!
So when I was asked recently if I would like to pick some retro sweeties of my choice I was super excited .. however not as excited as Ollie (hubby) retro sweeties to him represent Birthdays and Christmas since getting hold of these delicious sweeties can be a little difficult so to have some on a non special occasion is like and extra birthday….. yes for us it really is!
The Gob Stopper is a retro sweetie shop that not only has 2 shops but also has an online shop that you can order from all year round!
Review wise we were flummoxed .. there was an immense range of sweeties that it took us nearly a day to finally agree with which ones we wanted….. Although if we are honest there is another list circulating round that seems to be growing by the day!
So after much deliberation we finally chose to have a beautiful Kilner jar from the Click’N’Mix section and added cola cubes, alphabet letters and orange and lemon fizzballs!
When it arrived it was beautiful, the jar just added a lovely aspect to the sweets which would make a lovely gift to send to friend and family alike. The sweets were amazing too!
So now here is some fantastic news, the super generous folk at The Gob Stopper want to share some Christmas spirit with one of my luck readers and are offer the chance to win a Chocoholics Box.
