Now being an absolute iPad and iPhone app junky I have discovered more than my fair share of of App’s and some have been heavily loaded with advertising which has put me off using children’s apps on a whole.
However having saying that I liked the sound of the concept of this app and agreed to give a test drive and a toddler testing.
Firstly you can download the free version of this app in the normal iTunes download fashion, but there is a restricted amount that is available so you can choose to upgrade to the full version by clicking into the ‘adult leaf.’ The full Hopster subscription is £5.99/month which you cancel any time as there is no lock in and the subscription is handled through your normal Apple ID, so it’s easy to administer via your Apple account, and you will receive about 300 extra things across the 16 shows, not only that, there is new content for subscribers every week, from the library of about 1000 episodes!
So what is this app?…
It’s a TV and learning iPad app, just for kids aged 2-6 that has no adverts and contain some super shows that my little man loves such as Ben and Holly, Max and Ruby, 64 Zoo Lane and Paddington Bear to name a few.
I have been really impressed with the app and think that although I don’t give Joshua my iPad often I will be struggling to get it back now, he is more than happy and capable to navigate round on his own and the games after explaining he soon got the gist.
I think this app is super, its ideal for travelling and ideal to keep the tots entertained with peace of mind for you. Although before viewing the app I had my reservations I have now completely changed my mind and we love it.
Disclaimer: We were given a free months upgrade for the purposes of reviewing, however we have not yet accessed the free month as he has been watching and playing with the free version.
