Last week I wrote about my excitement of starting a new weight loss plan with New You meaning I was on a very low-calorie diet for this week.
Initially I was excited, yet skeptical that anything I came across in my life would be that easy in terms of loosing weight.
The fact is this diet plan was super easy in terms of it’s all done for you .. With 4 products per day and a goal of drinking 4 litres of water there is nothing complex, nothing to work out and the products are there and ready to use.
The good news is it does work .. as I lost an amazing 10 lbs this week – Which I have NEVER ever lost so much so quickly.
When you sign up to this plan you have the option of being added into the Facebook support group and I have to say they were amazing … I was so very anxious before starting about my fizzy pop addiction and how I not only would be on this diet plan but also the side effects of detoxing off the pop … the members of the group were an amazing support with some handy tips and words of wisdom.
The first 2 days on the plan, although hard as I suffered headaches and serious sugar cravings .. but more to do with the fact I was detoxing off fizzy pop I used the support group to keep motivated and stuck with it… there were bouts in the day where I had serious hunger pangs but I worked them off .. I found if I kept busy I didn’t focus on them and they passed.
Day three started well and in fact I no longer felt hungry in the morning and felt really energised and unbloated and it was a lovely feeling but I did have a wobble .. this week I have been working as a cleaner and an hour into my shift I did in fact feel dizzy, sick and sweaty so I sat for a few minutes, drank some more water and managed to finish my shift but on returning home I did still feel rather shaky and unwell so I checked with the website at what food Items I could eat while keeping my body in Ketosis and still not stray off plan altogether and I am happy to report with eating a grilled chicken breast, peppers and spinach before my shift each day for the remainder of the week I never felt unwell again.
Although not ideal to eat anything extra while on plan the fact I was doing a rather rigorous job in hot conditions really did make me need a little bit more. Had it just been my normal day sitting behind a desk I have now doubt I could have done it without adding anything extra and although I lost 10lbs I know if I had not added extra calories with the food I would have lost more.
I worried about the tastes of the shakes and food on plan, but the shakes were all ok .. however the mint choice shake was by far my favourite and it’s the one I actually craved too!
The meals were ok too, I did struggle to cook them properly but some handy tips from the folks on the Facebook group were invaluable as they even make some of the their products into recipes and create other foods with them! .. genius.
Overall the New You weight loss plan works .. if you are looking for a very low calorie diet that is a total food replacement this one certainly has lots of things going for it … first and foremost the support that comes with it has been second to none and the Facebook group has been like a fountain of knowledge and so very supportive with members achieving staggering results.
To be honest I am not sure this would be a long-term option for me as I did struggle while cooking for my family, however it has been a great boost to my weight loss mojo and I have no doubt I would go back on plan in the future to keep the scales going in the right direction!
