Review: Philips Disney SoftPals Night Lights

Our journey into a toddler bed has not been easy an easy one, the first few weeks were pretty eventless, which was very closely followed by the most horrific few months for us that are still ongoing….

Review: Philips Disney SoftPals Night Lights The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseRecently we were asked if we would like to test drive the Philips Disney SoftPals which are night lights created in an exciting partnership between Philips and Disney.  The imaginative lighting range is aimed at making bedtime #NotSoScary for children.

We got the choice of classic Minnie, Mickey Mouse, as well as Disney/Pixar’s Monster’s Inc. stars Sulley or Mike. We chose Mickey and when he first arrived we had one very happy little dude and the fact you shake him to turn him on or off was the icing on the cake.

Review: Philips Disney SoftPals Night Lights The Oliver\\\'s Madhouse

The easy-to-use night-light casts a soothing glow to help children feel comforted when they go to sleep or wake up in the middle of the night.

Now in the past Joshua has woken 5 out of 7 nights with very little success .. and often resulting in Ollie sleeping on his bedroom floor. I am not going to say this is the answer to all our sleep prayers just yet, however I am going to say that having used Mickey for a week, we have only had 2 nights of nocturnal nightmares of the toddler kind and those that have occurred have only been short-lived as I have tucked Mickey in (shaken him awake) and left the toddler and Mickey to it.

Yes this is an improvement, but I am looking forward to keeping Mickey and seeing if long-term this really is the answer to our prayers that I hope he will be!

My one and only slight issue with this product, in fact not quite the product but the instructions was that I felt they were not very clear, although that might be down to my inability to work the technical side of things!

These look great. We need night lights for the kids – they moan about needing the ‘big light’ on – might have to invest in some of these, they look great. I probably won’t be able to follow the techy instructions either, I’m useless at stuff like that 🙂
