Yep that’s right I have been really lucky to review some Sheer Cover Studio Make Up recently after I had disclosed my deepest secret to you all. For those of you that don’t know, I have several issues with the skin on my face from dry patches, redness and my pet hate the dreaded melasma!!
I had suffered with feeling uncomfortable and anxious about the patches on my face caused by the melasma and I had tried in vain to cover the darkly tanned patches with lots of different products but had been unsuccessful time and time again.
This is why I had been so very excited as this make up system is claimed to have a unique Trueshade Technology that works to create the perfect colour match for your skin tone.
Sheer Cover Studio apparently was originally developed to help patients conceal problems with their skin from age spots, spider veins, melasma, acne, roscea and birthmarks … see told you I was excited! ..
Now first off when it arrived I loved the presentation box but more than that I loved the quality of the brushes in the set that I had to review, they were so lovely to use.
Since I always remain hones,t I have to say I did look at the size of the concealer, mineral foundation and bronzer and think they were on the small side … stay with me here … the kit I had consisted of:
• Perfect Shade® Mineral Foundation (1.5g)
• Conceal & Brighten Trio (2g)
• Sun-kissed Bronzing Minerals (2.5g)
• Lengthening Mascara (6ml)
• Lash Extending Fibers (0.3g)
I WAS WRONG I have used the kit everyday bar 2 days for just over a month and I am only just down to my last 1/4 of mineral foundation .. the other things are still going strong for what I would guesstimate as another 1-2 months left .. obviously this is dependant on how much you need to use.
As for the system you must read the instructions .. there is a knack to applying and after the first few attempts you will find it does look seamless and feel light. I did not read the instructions, plastered my face with moisturiser as normal then attempted to add the products … big mistake it felt awful, it slid on my face highlighting my
wrinkle laughter lines. So I learnt from that first mistake, read the instructions and moisturised well in advance and then added the products … what-cha know .. it worked!
Now you know me, never one to believe adverts and someone else’s say so. A little part of me wanted to prove it didn’t cover and to not like it as I am not a big fan of adverts that claim a lot and very often don’t deliver. Yes I am cynical!
There is a very clear answer is …….
I love it
I am just about to buy my next 2 pots of mineral foundation as I don’t ever want to get to a point where I don’t have it in! .. I am also squeezing in a base primer.
It doesn’t dry my skin, it doesn’t irritate, its light, its easy to apply and covers like a dream!
Yes the price tag is a little on the high side … although I have seen higher on the High Street … but less is more where this system is concerned and since you don’t need a lot of product it does last a long while.
