Recently I was asked if I would like to review some products from the wide range of wall and tile stickers from Spin Collective.
Now some of you will know already that since I am the master decorator in this house and the fact I am getting the itch to redecorate the whole house this opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time!
With vinyl wall stickers being a great alternative to wallpaper as they are removable and supposedly easy to apply so this was looking like a great choice for The Oliver’s to finally get some stunning rooms with high impact low effort … to me this is always a bonus!
So my first dilemma was in fact where shall I start!! After quite some time I decided to go with the 2 blandest rooms in the house that could do with some sparkle, Joshua’s new big boy room and the bathroom.
Joshua’s room being fairly small has been a bone of contention in this house, hubby was insistent we should just paint the whole room blue. I have remained firm and it was a neutral colour but I have to admit it was a little boring!
The bathroom is fairly new although again very bland with plain white tiled walls so this was ripe for a little titivation!
So when the stickers arrived I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the pictures on the internet didn’t do them justice they were far more stunning, especially Joshua’s space stickers. The colours were so vibrant and strong and I really couldn’t wait to get going!
Now I am not known for my patience so with the little details I thought I would become quite agitated, however these were super quick to put on and with an applicator they were really simple, the whole lot were done and on the wall in a few minutes. The hardest part was getting the toddler to make a decision on where we were putting them!
Joshua really loved it and he keeps telling everyone who will listen he has rockets in his room!
So with only a few minutes with minimum effort we were able transform a bland boring room into this!:
Now stage 2 of operation titivate meant ensuring the bathroom tiles were super clean and dry. Then they were applied the same way as with Joshua’s stickers by running the applicator over the front of the stickers, peeling the white backing sheet off, placing and smoothing over the tile with the applicator and then after a few minutes peeling off the clear front. So super easy and again done in minutes!
Now our bathroom like most people with small children have to endure a lot of soaking! with our little water baby he has splashed and thrown water on them and they are still looking as good as new with no shifting!
Overall we really really loved the stickers we chose and I have my eye on several more designs when we get round to titivating the next lot of rooms!
