We were recently given the Step2 Pedal Farm Tractor from Activity Toys Direct for Joshua to try out and were really excited as this would be his very first pedal toy.
On arrival I was shocked to see how small the box seemed as I had thought in my head it would have been massive with it being minimal assembly. However on opening I realised there had been some ingenious packing.
I unpacked the box and began to slightly panic at the job in hand… Not being the most patient person anything that takes longer than 5 minutes gets me frustrated.
The instructions were fantastic, with things clearly labeled and great pictures, although somewhat lengthy with 4 pages, or that could be the DIY avoider in me.
Once together I have to say I absolutely loved it and all that initial DIY panic was more than worth it. Its lovely and chunky and the steering moves beautifully freely (although the steering wheel doesn’t turn itself, although in fairness it doesn’t need too)
After I managed to put it together it was time for Joshua to take over and take over he did .. What a totally besotted boy we had, he jumped straight in and demanded to me pushed which for a little while was fine .. however since I built the Tractor it was Daddy’s turn to show Joshua how to peddle … although
he peddles backwards like a pro he is not 100% peddle proficient and is still getting some training .. although rain did stop play yesterday.
The only niggle was the building, minimal assembly to me, conjures thoughts of 2 bolts and some stickers, this is decidedly more in-depth than that. Although great instructions! and please keep in mind I am not a natural DIYer!
I loved the sturdy frame and the ease of movement on it and I personally think for the price we will certainly get our moneys worth since it seems super robust.
