However I love nothing more than a well made tool that is going to make my life easier and get jobs done quicker as there is far too much cake to eat to be hanging around spending time on vacuuming the house or other such task, so after years of a love affair with an alternative brand I decided that giving this ago would be ok and that I would not disappear in a cloud of dust.
As ever I am going to be honest and with this love affair for the other brand I really did not think that VAX were ever going to sway me with their new fangled light weight machine Air3 Max. Air motion technology or not, all vacuums steer round furniture don’t they??
Well I am holding my hands up while typing ………. I was so very very wrong.
In my personal opinion this vacuum has been utterly amazing I have never had a machine that can pull the pile on the carpet upright and make it look like new, all the while sucking up an amazing amount of household dust and debris.
The Air Motion technology that allows you to steer around things is a little odd, not in bad way however it just challenges your ideas of what is should do in favour of a far more user friendly way of using it. In the words of my husband “its odd but I like it” ..
I loved the super easy powered brush that instead of getting down to ground level to adjust it was a button right next to the on/off switch and made moving from floor type to floor type really easily.
It was also nice to see a really reasonable length hose and power cable, in fact the power cable is much longer than the one on my previous machine so it was lovely to not have to unplug and move quite so often.
Its always really good to know that “Its antibacterial HEPA media filtration system removes allergens, dust particles and pollen for a healthier home, making the Vax Air3 Max upright vacuum cleaner great for people with allergies.
A 2-in-1 tool (crevice tool/dusting brush) and an upholstery tool are also included to make cleaning your whole home effortless”
Which is fantastic to know that so much dirt and debris is being removed, however the 2 in 1 tool is the one and only thing about this machine I HATE! having the brush on the nozzle as it means that tight spaces are harder to get into and If I’m honest its just not very practical, although this design floor would not stop me loving this machine.
Overall I have to say I am a total convert, there are some features that to be fair are odd to someone who has been using an alternative brand for many years such as using the hose, having to unclip from the vacuum head to use did stop me in my tracks on several occasions due to habit but the sheer power of the machine really did win me over …. speedy vacuuming means more time to eat cake … bonus!
