This weeks third blogger guest post is from the lovely Clare from Emmy’s Mummy & Harry’s Too and who has been known to be my sidekick at several blogging events and have even met the whole family when she came to Nottingham last year for a charity sky dive!
Today she is sharing with us School life when you’re 5 ….
School Life When You’re 5
Hi, I’m Emmy and I’m 5. My mummy writes about my adventures and misadventures on our blog, which was all about me until my brother came to steal my limelight. I want it back so I’ve come to tell you a little about what my school life is like currently.
I’ll begin by saying I love school… When I’m there that is. Getting ready is horrid, Mummy makes me wash and brush my hair and my teeth. She also says chocolate isn’t breakfast – I think she is just being mean.
I walk to school, that’s fun but Mummy always rushes me saying I’m going too slowly, not to pick the flowers and not to collect all those sticks, yes she is mean.
I like to play with my friends in the playground before school, there isn’t much time though. Mummy says that’s because I kept stopping to pick flowers.
I like my teachers, they are nice and give me stickers for doing good work. When I’m very good I get to take the register back to the office, this is fun but they make me go with a boy. I don’t like boys.
We have to sit still in assembly, I try to sit with my best friends but my teachers move us around, they say we talk too much. I think that’s what she said but I didn’t hear as I was talking again.
I like our IT classes. We get to play on the computers, my mummy won’t let me play on hers at home.
ERR is good too. It’s easy for me. I can do it all, except the new bits I don’t know yet. I’m told to practice and keep trying so I do.
Lunch is good. We can choose what we want. I always have jacket Potato with cheese and beans. I like that. My friends have different things but they look yuck.
I like playtime, we play frozen or chase but I like helping the teacher too so we walk around together and stop the fighting and shouting.
My work is getting hard and I don’t like it, but it is fun when we sing and learn especially our number songs.
I love to colour and draw best of all and make Pictures for everyone.
I don’t like being told off. We have circles in my class on the wall. Green, amber and red. I am nearly always on the green. That means I am good. I tell Mummy the children who are on the red every day when I get home. I was on Amber last week but it wasn’t me and it’s not fair.
If we are on green all week our name goes in a hat and we can bring our class bear Barney home. I want him at my house.
I don’t like reading. My teachers make me do it at school and so does Mummy at home, she is mean.
My favourite things about school are my friends, my teachers and lunch but I like the weekend best.
