I’m not going to lie, I am somewhat obsessive about cleaning.
That being told I can get the vacuum cleaner out at least twice and some times 3 times a day following Jacob round cleaning up his messes but its becomes fairly hard work with the full size vacuum.
Recently we had the opportunity to try out the Shark DuoClean With TruePet and Flexology cordless vacuum from AO and I couldn’t be more thrilled to get to try it out.
When it arrived It was really simple to put together and comes with a great selection of hand tools with a storage bag that are easy to fit onto the vacuum and no degree in engineering needed.
It has 5 main control buttons on the body of the vacuum with 2 floor settings. One hard floor the other carpet, 2 speed settings and obviously an on/off button. All of which are easy to use and operate making cleaning even speedier.
The vacuum can be used as a handheld machine with the hand tools or can be used with the main upright poles to give it the ‘normal’ vacuum feel so its great for flexibility round the house and makes tackling the stairs, cars and the like super efficient. However where it gets super cool is the ‘flexology’ element means even cleaning under furniture got a whole lot easier and can be done without having to bend in any way, the machine bends for you.
I find storing our vacuum easier too in the bent position and it has been a real game changer for me. One machine that does that of several and being lightweight and easy to manoeuvre is even better.
The only slight thing that for me that does need noting is the fact there is only 22 minutes of run time on a 3.5 hour charge. If you were using this as your main vacuum you might need to think of investing in another battery pack and maybe even one of their dual chargers (which we have) this means its charging both batteries at the same time and you have 44 minutes of run time so amazingly more generous if you are planning a proper deep clean. For me the 22 mins is a flick round time frame with a toddler a couple of times a day but this would all depend on your own usage and household I guess.
What I did like about the battery charging however was the fact that you can either leave the battery in the vacuum for charging or you can remove the battery and charge somewhere other than where you store it. The latter works really well for me as it means I can put the vacuum in the cupboard under the stairs away from the toddler and charge the batter on the work top away from little grabby hands!
The other aspect of the Shark DuoClean with TruePet and Flexology Cordless Vacuum Cleaner that is worth noting is that the duo aspect steams from the two rollers instead of one. The first roller at the back is much like a standard roller you would find on any vacuum but it’s the front roller that is the beauty. This roller is soft and squishy and this one helps collect teeny tiny particles instead of throwing them round the room that many vacuums do. I have noticed a drastic difference in how clean the hard floors have been.
I have been really pleased with the Shark DuoClean with TruePet and Flexology cordless vacuum cleaner it really is like my new favourite cleaning item! It retails at £269 and is going to come in super handy this festive period I have no doubt.
If you are still looking for some festive inspiration and this hasn’t quite ticked the appliance boxes then there is a great selection of Christmas Gifts on AO’s website that you might like instead and some items can even be delivered Christmas Eve!
For now however I am exceptionally thrilled I have the Christmas clean up covered!
