A few months ago I was asked if I would like to take a look at a revolutionary new product hitting the baby product market.
If you know me personally you will know I love nothing more than a brand new product to test drive.
SpaceCot, from the company A Little Bit Brilliant has revolutionised the world of travel cots with its space technology and unique design its weighs in at a mere 6kgs and can by put up and down in 3 seconds.
I have to be honest and say that for me travel cots have only ever been a necessity and not something I have been overly thrilled with. They served a purpose in the short-term while out and about and over night at grandparents.
For me they were awkward, cumbersome and not the must comfortable of spaces.
So hearing that this unique product did everything differently to a standard travel cot I was really excited to see if in fact my hard heart of stone for travel could be melted!
When it arrived it was apparent that the weight was massively reduced compared to our previously used travel cot.
It has a really luxurious feel to the materials and what is even better than that is that the covers can all be removed and washed! Which is something I have never encountered before!
The SpaceCot comes with an attachable crib for use with babies from 0-6 months (or once they can roll and move) it’s really easy to convert as the main covers stay in situ and the crib slots over the top and clips on with the heavy-duty clips.
Then there is a material cover that sits over the ends.
The mattress from the main travel cot is used also in the crib and just slots in place.
On top being super lightweight for me the fold is the more ingenious feature as it’s just seconds and you can move it.
There is a red button on each side of the cot, located in the hinge that needs to be depressed and pushed inwards and then you can use your foot to push the base upwards with your toe and it all folds in on it self.
The price currently is around the £140 mark which is slightly higher than a standard travel cot but if you know you are going to rely on it at grandparents or travelling and the like it’s certainly worth it.
