I am the first to admit that I am partial to footwear and the challenge for me over the last 5 years with a really dodgy pelvis has been to find super stylish footwear that is also super comfortable to wear.
Recently I was asked if our family would like to take a look at Teva’s footwear and I have to be honest neither Ollie nor I had even heard of them.
So Who Are Teva?
Initially starting life in 1984 by a Grand Canyon river guide as a product to encourage the adventurous spirit in us all to be let out.
The initial product was constructed from an old Velcro watch strap and a flip flop, but even with its very humble beginnings the concept of the original product of spontaneity and adventure is still something the whole range is based on today.
I love that the brand and the products it makes are about stylish shoes that allow the wearer to put them on and go anywhere, this kind of ethos is certainly something us Oliver’s have been making a concerted effort to do!
What Shoes Did We Pick?
Our first major dilemma came for Ollie as he has fallen in love with several pairs of mens flip flops and also some boots so after talking him down from the boots due to the fact its Summer and in theory should be hot and warm he finally chose the Deckers Flip Canvas in black.
Next on the list for shoes was Joshua, now for him I was looking for something sturdy, yet nimble and that could be worn all summer long and so fell in love with the Toachi 4 in lime and navy, I loved the toe cover on them meaning no stubbed toes no matter how much climbing or football was taking place!
I have to hold my hands up and admit that I took by far the longest to decide on what options to go for as there are at least a dozen I could easily have fallen in love with. However I wanted to go for an option that allowed me to dress up or dress down and something in leather so loved the Cabrillo Crossover in black.
We were also really lucky to be able to get Jacobs very first pair of sandals and even though they are fractionally too big currently I have no doubt in the next month or so he will be wearing these really comfy looking sandals.
So How Did They Wear?
The really simple answer to how did they wear was excellent, Joshua’s sandals have withstood the throes of childhood play and still look like new.
Ollies flip flops really looked great with a chilled out and replaces look about them, however they have perfectly fitted with all his summer clothing so far so for me its great to know that at least one pair of his summer shoes will go with everything!
My Cabrillo Crossovers are by far the most amazing pair of sandals I own, I loved the fact they had a fairly wide footbed (normally fitted footbeds rub, but not with these) I loved the fact they almost felt like slippers while on.
I also loved the fact that the leather after some wear does soften slightly so they keep their shape but mould round your foot to make them even more comfortable. I am really looking forward to our holiday this year, comfy shoes and less packing needed for me #Genius
