Recently we were asked by Philips if we could think of a way we could make a healthier swap into my life that could make a sustainable difference and those of you that know me in person know that my Diet Coke addiction was something I have tried to stop for years.
Every morning without fail I have a large glass of Diet Coke followed by over a litre and some days 2 litres of the stuff and I know it leaves me fuzzy and bloated but since I don’t like tea or coffees and water is boring I had just resigned myself to the fact I was a Diet Coke drinker forever.
When I was asked to make a switch I was literally days out of major abdominal surgery and with the Diet Coke headache (the one I get when I don’t drink it) in full force I was ready to start my #HealthyHabitSwap and get to grips using the Philips Advance Centrifugal Juicer.
The Philips Advance Juicer features a unique Fiberboost technology that allows for 50% more fibres into the juice which means a more wholesome juice and more vitamins and minerals in the glass.
I have to admit a little piece of me was quite anxious as I didn’t want to start something that might became a chore and the cleaning aspect of juicing totally had me stressed.
However I take it all back since the Philips Advance Juicer was the easiest thing to set up and it washed immensely well in a matter of minutes and with no nooks and crannies it made for really easy cleaning.
I loved the juicer for the range of fruits and vegetables that it could handle and some of our favourite recipes were the ones with a large percentage of fruits and a sly sneaky veg thrown in for good measure!
This juicer made short work of skins and pips and other than chopping off the stalks and stones from nectarines it coped well with a range of textures with its duel speeds I just changed the setting to maximum on a harder fruit or vegetable.
I was shocked at just how much the juicer took out the fruits and vegetables and the handy container collected it all up and made it easy to scoop out and wash in warm water ready for next time.
The pulp container holds a fair amount too which was great if I was making several juices at once for more than one of us too.
I honestly cant believe how easy it has been to juice so much so it’s officially been weeks since I actually touched any Diet Coke, the headaches have passed and I feel like I have more energy and less lethargic.
It looks like my first drink of the day is now going to be homemade juice instead of the fizzy stuff.

These look fab. I’ve one on my wish list…one day I’ll stop bumping it down the shopping list
