That first stage of potty training (daytime potty training) was not without some potty disasters but we kept at it and we got there in the end.
Since being dry for months we decided after our holiday last month that since his pull up was dry at night we should make the leap and so 5 weeks ago we started the final phase, we got rid of the potty and chucked out the pull ups!
I am so very pleased to report that for 5 weeks we have had no instances of wet pants, wet beds or even upset, it seems that we are on that final stage of toilet training.
With the help of Andrex they have put together a super handy Andrex Clean Routine to not only help Joshua on the next stage of his toilet training mission but also to help others keep it clean! ……
This is why making sure that Joshua learns good practical toilet habits from this age is so important, so it becomes second nature to clean properly … that and lets face it … no one likes skid marks and upset tummies and I am not the only one as GP and author Dr Carol Cooper commented: “The importance both physically and psychologically of being and feeling clean after going to the bathroom is huge. ..”
After all this is half the problem we never discuss the natural things from periods to sex to toilet habits … OK no one says we have to discuss them round the tea-table but still if we did discuss things maybe we could all find a way to be cleaner and in turn make us happier and cleaner! .. well you never know!
