That’s it Jacob has hit the terrible two’s before he has even got to 18 months.
The frustrations are at an all time high and along with his point and grunt stance he is now a fully functioning toddler with meltdowns to prove it.
He cries and screams at the top of his lungs for fun and I will be honest here and say this last month I have been equally as frustrated as him with the things he has been doing.
To start with he showed his disapproval by sitting down slowly and then laying down in a very controlled and relaxed motion … it was funny
However now he has added to the slow and controlled lie down with full on lung bursting wails at every ‘no’ given and its becoming slightly tiresome.
Both with Beth and Joshua they were using their words so well from such an early age, I never really had an issue with temper tantrums to these extent I am dealing with them now with Jacob. So I am thinking that maybe this is why we are getting more of them or is it just his stubborn determination?
These are just some of the times he has hit the deck with a tantrum, some of the other reasons include:
- Wanting to sit on my knee with the Hoover
- Eating all his grapes
- Having no toast
- Eating all the toast
- Wanting his brothers cup
- Not wanting his shoes on
- Was told to climb down from the toy box
The list is literally endless as there are probably about 6 meltdowns a day.
So forget the terrible twos we are experiencing the meltdown months instead and it seems like a hard slog right now.
I love my littlest of fellows dearly but when the meltdown happens gritting my teeth is becoming painful. Heres hoping they pass soon!
Did anyone else have a tot that hit terrible twos before being 2?
