The Easter Hunt

The Easter Hunt The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseIt’s another first for Jacob this weekend as he took part in his first ever Easter hunt.

The rain and out garden squirrel nearly stopped play but I waited till the afternoon instead to get the boys out and hunt those chocolate goodies down quickly before the squirrel came back or the rain descended.

Once Ollie was home from work I ran round hiding the eggs for all 4 of us, blue for Ollie, orange for Jacob and pink for me. Joshua had special foil covered eggs (plus he had more) so it was time to let the kids loose with their baskets.

Joshua flew round the garden in lightening quick speed collecting mine and his in his basket. Jacob on the other hand didn’t get the gist of it at all.

Jacob wandered round with his basket in his mouth while Daddy added eggs into his basket for him. However that didn’t really go very well either and Ollie ended up collecting the dropped eggs in his pockets instead!

Joshua loved finding little chocolate treasures but Jacob just enjoyed the freedom of being outdoors more and loved running up and down the garden. Maybe next year he will get the hang of this Easter hunt malarkey and realise that the chocolate he loves so much comes inside those brightly coloured plastic eggs.

Next year he also might give Joshua a run for his money and collect all his eggs too and I will end up referring between them.

For his first official Easter hunt it was lovely watching just how much Joshua adores Jacob as he tried to show him how to collect the eggs in his basket, even if it didn’t quite work to plan for him.

Heres hoping you guys had a super Easter with your loved ones this year if you celebrate it.

It’s funny watching children taking part in egg hunts. Some will run and grab everything in sights, whilst others are happy to wander about.

It’s lovely to watch the kids do an easter hunt. We set one up before going to bed the night before. It is a lot of fun and a joy to watch x

Aw how lovely! I’m looking forward to Little M being big enough to toddle about for an Easter egg hunt. Next year! x

Looks like your boys had lots of fun on their Easter egg hunt! We did a small one just around the house for my little boy and he absolutely loved it xx
