Last year we received the most beautiful invite to my Sister in Law’s in the Yorkshire Dales for this May.
Now those of you that know me well or have been reading on here for a while will know that ‘occasions’ and dressing up freaks me out. I am a jeans and trainers kinda gal and if I am honest so are my boys.
However the search got underway about 3 months ago for the boys, while having a total freak out over what I would wear, I thought at least if I couldn’t sort me I could sort them.
After purchasing Ollie’s navy suit and tan shoes, Joshua requested a navy or blue suit and tan shoes too. He wanted to look as smart as his Dad and I wanted Jacob in a similar outfit so it meant trying to track down 2, 5 piece suits one in a age 2 and one in an age 7.
I tried the high street retailers but couldn’t find a suit in both sizes and i knew Jacob would only relevant if his looked like Jacobs.
Roco Clothing heard of my plight and asked me to take a look at their range of formal wear for the boys to see if anything would work for us. So I logged on and headed straight to their online site and started my search.
Before browsing Roco’s website I had been online and had been undrewehlemd with the choices but Roco Clothing was different. In the boys suit choices there was over 200 options and must of them catered for age 1 all the way to age 14 so weather your dressing your pageboys or your own kids to attend a wedding there is lots of choice.
Although there were many colours to choose from we had promised Joshua he could have blue like his dad and immediately fell in love with the Paisley of London Kingsman suit that Roco stock and chose a blue tie to again match their Dads
Both boys liked putting on the suit but with 25 degree celsius weather on the morning of the wedding Jacob soon took off his jacket in favour of the dirt and waistcoat and as smart as they look both boys kept untucking their shirts! … You can’t take the kid out the suit, no matter how stunning they both looked.
For Joshua the adjustable waist on the trousers were a god send as he is a really really slim fit and Jacob’s although were there we didn’t really need to adjust them much, just a button or two, however it was nice that they were in both age ranges. Normally for Joshua (age 7) we struggle to find trousers with an adjustable waist band.
The detailing on the suits was beautiful and the fit for both boys was great. The lined jackets only added to the luxurious feel.
Just about everyone at the wedding commented on the boys and their suits and how smart they both looked and long after I had given up tucking their shirts back in they still looked smart, leaving Ollie and I super thrilled with how they held up throughout the day.
The suits are dry clean only but I have washed the shirts and they have come up a treat and no offending grass stains have remained…. Yes, my boys are a nightmare!
Thank you Roco for getting us out the kids formal wear rut and stocking just what we were looking for.
