I have spent since 2012 on a weight loss journey that in all fairness has been at times soul-destroying. However I have kept going often on the verge of complete meltdowns but with a 4.5 stone loss under my belt or should I say not under my belt I had hit the mother of all stumbling blocks.
I have blogged about my weight loss journey weekly and often found it motivating, which is where my monthly linky Active Family helped too. Regardless of that since returning from my last holiday I have really struggled, struggled to find the time to get back to the 3+ session of boot camp and struggled with the motivation that is needed to put myself out there.
So after our initial try time out hiring bikes a few months ago we bit the bullet and saved so we could purchase our own bikes and a bike rack too.
On Saturday we finally set off for Clumber Park to test drive the new wheels, although initially driving with 2 bikes on the back of my car made me very nervous! … or was that my own negativity that I could do it?
Well first off I have to say as I am sat here typing my lady bits are sore … will this ever get easier?
Having a toddler on a seat on the back really loaded the pressure on too, it was damn hard work! so after our trek round we stumbled upon some inflatables for Joshua and park … although I have to be honest and say I was relieved to have a rest!
On the way back we clipped Joshua’s seat onto Ollie’s bike and he too found it difficult too … phew not just me then!
So with the wheels now dirty we have made a conscious plan to make sure we get out on the bikes several times a week, hopefully as a family. I am also hoping the next 2 stones of fat rolls on by with each trip out on my bike.
