This year we have been so lucky to discover so many new places to visit as a family and also to discover so many new events at the places we love.
This August is no different as we are heading to the launch of the new Gloworm Festival in Nottinghamshire located at Clumber Park.
The weekend of the 20th and 21st August will showcase some super entertainment for all the family from Peppa Pig, Mr Bloom, Thomas Tank to music acts from Toploader to name just a few.
The Gloworm festival is aimed at families with children of all ages and supported by some key Nottingham businesses such as White Post Farm, East Midlands Airport, Ikea and Notts TV.
The festival also has several areas from and Great Outdoor Area with animal holding, incubator zone, mini beasts and meet-a-reptile, den building, craft and practical farming activities and even Halloween themed touch boxes!
There is also a creative area for little folks with lots to do like, arts and crafts, burger making, circus skills, bubble workshop, dancing and bread baking and also a mini market with a host of food vendors selling a range of foods to eat while on site but also vendors selling foods and produce to take home too!
One of my favourite things will be there too .. A Vintage Fairground! … I love nothing more than a tea-cup ride! … But with a whole host of traditional rides available I think this area will certainly be in great demand and certainly more so in that its free*!
If you are looking to extend your visit and camp you can do that too and all the information on camping can be found HERE.
We are really excited to go and with some exciting things happening and being located in such a wonderful place I am excited to see what its like once there!
*please note most things are free on site once a ticket has been purchased, however food and refreshments will need to be paid for as will some of the prize stalls on the fairground.
