Over the last 6 weeks it would be fair to say that Jacob has come on in leaps and bounds.
What would also be fair to say is the ‘babyish’ Jacob is slowly disappearing and in his place is an independent boy who is thriving on space and the ability to crawl!
Days are now packed with temper tantrums when I chase after him to bring him back into the living room after he crawls at full speed through the open door Joshua has left open. The tears also flow when he is not given food to eat himself too.
I love to see how proud of himself he is when he manages to eat all the food himself or how excited he is at finally being able to reach the curtains in order to yank at them or the look of pure joy on his face when he can chase his brother round the living room in his baby walker.
However that being said I think this is one of the most difficult ages, keeping him entertained seems to be so much harder as he wants to do everything himself but isn’t big enough yet to not fall over, or to stop himself flinging his head backwards.
I love watching how strong his little legs are getting and I know it really is only a matter of time before he gets up one morning and walks …. Leaving behind the last baby bit of him behind and instead leaving behind a little fella that’s in the no mans land between babyhood and fully fledged toddler!
As much as I will be sad that my very last baby is hardly a baby anymore when he walks I really cant wait to see what this next chapter brings for our little guy.
