Over the last 12 months we have been amazingly fortunate to travel to some beautiful locations from Rhodes in Greece to Tunisia (before the tragedy) but with bumps imminent arrival we have decided that UK staycations are going to scatter our family time this coming year as there are still so many places here in the UK we would like to still visit.
Even though bump is due anytime from mid January there is still time to make the most of the sales shopping that I start on Boxing Day by actually dragging along hubs and visiting the Metrocentre in Newcastle.
I last visited the Metrocentre around 15 years ago and its one place I have vowed to return and why not get some sales shopping done in the process and even stay in a hotel in Newcastle to take on more of what it has to offer!
Ollie and I have also been meaning to go on a long weekend to London for the last 2 years and as of yet I have been on my own for work but yet not with him in doors so it would be nice this year to finally get our much awaited child free long weekend … However with a new baby I am only dreaming on that front I am sure.
I do know for certain our family holiday and some weekends away will involve several coastlines, as for us fresh air, sandcastle and some epic fish and chips really do fix most ailments … after all we are the couple that eloped with the kids to Whitby to Marry nearly 3 years ago … Maybe a trip to Whitby will feature, however I would love to visit the Walsh coast, and visit Glasgow and Edinburgh to see some of the history and culture on offer.
I am really looking forward to broadening our horizons and falling in love with some more of what this wonderful country has to offer ….
What I would love to make sure does happen this coming year is the girls weekend away visiting the Christmas Markets and maybe staying in York … However maybe this time we will have to take our babies with us since we are both due to have babies within weeks of each other.
