Last weekend we had the pleasure of visiting Alton Towers.
I can’t believe I am saying this but it has been well over a year since our last visit which was our very first visit to CBeebies Land!
However in our defence having had a baby in the year makes it ok!
Since school holidays tend to fly by all to quickly and limited holiday days from work for Ollie we were really fortunate to tag this day out onto our family holiday.
On arriving on Sunday it was super busy as expected in the car parks and Monorail (it always is for first opening) but once through the gates and away from the main drags of guests it was still busy but far more acceptable!
CBeebies Land has their Meet and Tweet competition running again this year and if you haven’t heard about it before then let me fill you in! …
During the summer there are a whole host of CBeebies Characters out and about in CBeebies Land and if take a photo of you meeting them and you tweet it with the hashtag #CBeebiesLandMT you are in with a chance of winning some very special prizes including a VIP theme park visit, a meal in the new Alton Towers Rollercoaster Restaurant and a short break in one of the Resort’s woodland lodges (Full details can be found HERE)
Now if only baby Jacob had realised he was in the presence of a real life hero!
Joshua loved the Octonauts ride once more and obviously the Tree Fu Tom park as that is his standard to run off some energy.
Joshua had his heart set on the flying balloons this time round but was still a little on the short side to fit so instead had a very valiant attempt on the Water Walkerz instead!
Next was lunch and I have to say we had never tried the Pizza and Pasta Buffet place so this time we headed there to eat and it was delicious, with as much as you can eat or drink (pizza, pasta, salad and fizzy pop) at a really reasonable price £12.95 and less than £8 for children.
In fact Ollie loved it that much he rated it better than a well known High Street pizza chain!
After lunch we called into Sharkbait reef but unfortunately you cant take pushchairs and with Jacob asleep and unable to leave it outside this will have to be visited next time we go.
Next we were back in Cbeebies Land for Nina’s Science Lab and some fun in Justin’s House before heading home.
We had a lovely visit this time and although we could have crammed more into our Alton Towers day out, with regards to rides we just enjoyed taking things at a more leisurely pace this time and enjoyed it all the more for it.
