A few weeks ago I was asked if I would like to review something from Sweater Shop and with the imminent arrival of the colder weather I jumped at the chance.
Sweater Shop is a family run business that has been established in 1986 by Dom Byrne who still runs the company supported by his daughter, daughter in law and niece.
Although they have shops in Dublin, Kilkenny, and Galway city they are now trading their large selection of top quality Irish Aran Knitwear online too, making my choice one from a computer instead of a store.
When first selecting my jumper I have to be honest and say that I was anxious that I wouldn’t find one. Not because there wasnt a great choice because there was but instead because I am plus sized and some online stores don’t cater for larger ladies.
I am super excited to say that the Sweater Shop have a massive range of sizes and I found several jumpers I fell in love with in my size so it was great to have a choice.
With such a great range of sizes it goes without saying that with each beautiful design there were several colour options to go with it too not to mention there are women’s, mens and even kids items too!
I chose the Irish Aran Ladies Sweater Cardigan with one button fastening in dark green. I loved its strong colour, its beautiful stitching and its stylish one button design and I love that it can be worn with absolutely anything!
When it arrived I was more in love with it in real life. It is thick and yet soft and it is going to make a super winter staple year after year and I can see it working well for me too in autumn and spring with its 100% soft Merino Wool.
This cardigan has quickly become one of my favourite key pieces this winter and I am totally obsessed with it.
The care instructions for my cardigan is hand wash only but because I wear it as a cardigan/jacket it’s no problem at all and it seems to dry fairly quickly on the radiator (plus bonus as no ironing needed)
Thank you so much Sweater Shop for introducing me to your beautiful items of knitted clothing I will certainly be back.
