Over recent years the increase in users of Social Media and the sheer amount of social media platforms out there mean more than ever before people have been connected from, Facebook to Instagram it’s really easy to share every single aspect of your life and many do.
Lets face it we all have that certain person on their friend lists that updates their status 20 times a day and hearing for the 6th time this week what they are eating for tea really isn’t interesting anymore.
With this increase in knowing more about peoples lives it’s really hard sometimes to take it with a pinch of salt, after all those that declare their undying love to their partner everyday is often not the couple that will last the distance and then add children into the mix and it becomes increasingly competitive.
From the perfect lunch makers to the lady with the kids down the street that has a perfectly turned out tribe and then the lady on my feed thats house is immaculate, it can be very easy to be drawn into a guilt trip or two about our own failings and yes I have been there.
Living your life online like I do and the competitiveness in this industry means there is always an expectation to have immaculate children and happy little folks at all times in the picture perfect images you post but in truth it’s not like that and maybe we all ought to be a little bit more realistic.
Life is busy, life is chaotic, life is fun and life is not always fair but I for one have not been embracing it for what it is and after my recent ill health I am planning on living life to the full, accept life is not always neat and tidy and today is today and tomorrow is tomorrow so why stress!
I am really pleased to be supporting a wonderful campaign by Bassetts Vitamins’ called Family Life with More Colour (#lifewithmorecolour) thats is supporting real life, perfect and the imperfect, the expectations and the reality.
After all my kids to never cry:
My cakes are always perfect and never break:
I am always adequately presented and never answer the door in odd clothing:
Every single thing we eat is healthy:
And Obviously my children are always clean and tidy:
Bassetts Vitamins are part of our routine, with a no added sugar they are nutritionally-balanced and are a deliciously soft and chewy supplement for every member of the family, from children (age 6 months) through to adults which it certainly tops us up and has my back when its one of those days that our balanced diet isn’t quite as it should be and instant noodles are the order of the day.
This summer we are going to enjoy each others company, spend time together and we are going to stop sweating the small stuff and enjoy the colourful life we lead … although maybe I should address my rather colourful attire?
