On the first full day of our holiday Ollie the kids and I, along with my mother and father in law all headed to the beach with a stop off first for a bucket and spade and even sandcastle flags.
The day could not have been better weather wise it was gloriously hot and sunny with a hint of a sea breeze.
Firstly on getting on to the beach we changed boy boys into their sunsuits and hats and with nothing getting in the way Ollie and Joshua headed straight into the sea for a paddle.
Although they were soon followed by Jacob so he could have his very first paddle in the English sea!
At first he was really unsure and quite rightly so since it was super cold!
However he soon started kicking the water and we even got a little laugh or two out of him.
These tiny moments on that beach made my heart fly, I sat and watched the glee on Joshua’s face as he built his sandcastles and the wonderment on Jacobs face as he touched sand with his toes for the first time.
It was such a wonderful time to actually sit on the beach and watch both my boys, with nowhere to be, no time limits, no threatening rain clouds and nothing but family chatter and laughter.
As far as first trips the beach go this one was one I will treasure.
I doubt we will get this again when we go away later in the year!
