Jacob is very quickly approaching his 1st birthday & I’m not sure which will come first his birthday or walking.
He has been cruising round the furniture at a rapid rate of knots and I guess we had been putting it off a little since Joshua was already walking at the tender age of 11 months so we headed off to get his feet measured and find him some first shoes.
After getting Joshua to school Ollie and I ventured over to MacArther Glen Designer Outlet near junction 28 of the M1 to get Jacobs feet measured at the local Clarks shop.
We waited inline to have Jacobs feet properly measured and although I was epically excited by this first, I was also slightly sad that this next stage involved seeing my little fellow as a ‘boy’ and not a baby any longer.
Jacob seemed throughly impressed at having his feet measured!
His feet come in as a 3 1/2 G and there were only a couple of choices but Jacob loved trying them on and gave some amazingly comical facial expressions while he did!
In the end there was a deal that meant for an extra £5 we could buy him two pairs so we opted for that and bought the half size bigger to allow for some growing room.
I so loved seeing how excited Jacob was with his new shoes, so far they have been chewed and slobbered on but all in all I think they are a total hit for him!
So my little baby is now officially growing up!
Now it’s a waiting game to see him go from cruising with furniture and mowing down feet with his little wooden truck to walking independently and although I am excited to see it …. Where did my baby actually go, I mean really?!
