After falling in love with Thomas Land at Drayton Manor earlier in the year on our first visit we were really excited to see what more Thomas could offer us in the way of entertainment and with this new DVD release it meant that we could watch one of Joshua’s favourite characters movie at home too!
Drayton Manor has the loveliest cinema which on normal days hosts great films in 4D so it was great to watch the grand unveiling of this very special film (which is obviously not 4D)
Joshua and I got comfortable and If I am honest I was feeling a little bit of dread in that the film lasts about an hour so I did think Joshua would no way make it till the end before his concentration level had gone again, with only being 3.5.
However Joshua loved this film the storyline was great:
Thomas was working in the clay pits when a storm arrived it made the cliffs unstable and there was an avalanche, which uncovered some giant footprints. In the mean time Bill and Ben came to the rescue Thomas to get him to safety so there was no time to investigate the mysterious footprints!!
When a new odd shaped engine appeared Percy was convinced it was the monster and was teased especially by James. The ‘monster’ is really Gator and the pair soon became friends, with Gator’s helps Percy learn all about what it really means to become brave!
Where we spent the rest of the day with good friends and the odd tank or too! … as in the train variety .. of course.
Disclaimer: This was a complementary activity in which we were asked to give an honest review of the film.
