Once I started thinking about the different tasks on my to-do list that were just sitting there day after day, I tried to find new ways to get those items done with the help of others and already my stress levels are on the decrease!
Recently I was reminded that outsourcing things can help to drastically cut down the list and I have found using companies that come to me a god send. A little while ago I had the pleasure of reviewing one such company when getting my car tyres fitted.
Not only did Tyres on the Drive come directly to my house and driveway, they literally took over and did an amazing job replacing the tyres on my car. In a short amount of time, my car was ready to go. No waiting in a waiting room for me…I was able to work on other things around the home that I needed to get done, all while my tyres were getting being done.
And while that is just one great example of a way to get help when you may be running low on time, here are a few other suggestions as well!
Tips for Getting Help When You’re Running Low on Time
- Use supermarkets or even restaurants that offer the option to deliver food or other items without having to get you and your kids in the car. It is a huge time saver to literally place your order ahead of time, we have never eaten so well as out new weekly supermarket shop keeps us on track and i only have to put it away.
- Automate anything you can. Anything that I can automate to remove that thought process from my overly active mind, I’m 100% up for. Bills, appointments, dinner…you name it. By automating certain aspects of your life, it allows you to then free up some of that precious real-estate in your brain to start thinking about other factors that may need your attention more. Plus, think about all the time that you’ll save when it comes to paying bills when you don’t have to sit on hold just to talk to a customer service rep to pay that bill.
- Plan ahead, planning ahead can same so much time in the long run. No more heading to the same shop 3 times in a week when you can call in and collect 3 items! For me learning to use a calendar helped this happen. I can preplan those birthday card purchases and gifts and save my sanity!
- Plain and simple, ask for help. While you may be feeling overly stressed out by everything on your to-do list, the people around you may not know that you need a bit of help unless you ask for it. Your family and friends would more than likely be happy to help if they knew that you needed it. Just ask!
