It has been five whole years since we last visited Sundown Adventure Land and I have to be honest I am not sure why it has been so long since we visited.
Its one of those places that we have been talking about booking in the diary for a visit for so long that when I spotted their special Christmas events I jumped on it and booked us in for the 2nd December to visit Santa.
When we arrived we were even more excited at how much effort they had made for Christmas with twinkling lights and decorations all over.
Out booked slot for Santa was 10.30am but we had use of all the park so we did some exploring first in the under 5’s playground for Jacob.
Then into the big kids play area which Joshua loved.
After burning off some car drive energy (you know the energy acclimated by being sat in the car) we headed back down for our sleigh ride round to meet santa.
The sleigh ride was so lovely with so many little winter and christmas scenes on the way round. I have never seen such a wonderful little display on the build up to meeting Santa!.
Once we arrived Santa and Mrs Klaus were so lovely. Joshua took straight to him and chatted about Everton Football Shirts and Jacob ran to the corner of the room and avoided going anywhere near Santa!
Getting a photo of them with Santa meant Ollie had to step in sit with them to get Jacob anywhere near him. Although he accepted his present he soon ran off with it.
We went for lunch in Crash Landings and let the boys rampage round for a little while and then headed off to the rest of the park where Joshua got to relive his second birthday and Jacob got chance to eat pretend food! … please tell me I am not the only one with a child that will try to eat any pretend food that they find?
Both Ollie and I said that we won’t be leaving it so long till we go and visit Sundown Adventure Land again.
