Don’t get me wrong there are lots of times that life changes happen due to circumstance, however the New Year is the one time that we willingly look at what might be on offer and even look at making changes to help us achieve or fulfil a set ambition or change.
This New Year I have lots of things I want to make happen in the coming 12 months … rest assured my habit of breaking resolutions means I am making nothing other than general sweeping statements in the hopes that some might actually stick and for the first time next Christmas I can look back at this last 12 months and tick those sweeping statements with a flourish and then maybe kid myself again that resolutions are in order?
So hold on to your hats …
In the coming 12 months I would love to look at pushing my growing little business, but at the same time I need to address the work life balance far more than to grow so this is a real must for me, even if that means I have to look at taking an alternative job. OK maybe I wont be calling City Calling and seeing if they have any jobs in construction , or hairdressing come to think of it (there was an incident with some scissors in 1994 .. it didn’t end well, at least for my hair) but maybe I could look for something a little more fixed into terms of income and hours maybe?
What I would also like to look at is spending some time refreshing and titivating our home, its been 5 years since most of our decorating has been done and so some colour changes and refreshing is needed, although the stress with the bathroom was a killer!
The most important thing I need to do going into 2015 is to stop saving big decisions for monumental times of the year .. I need to tackle them head on and as they arrive!
Do you save your decision-making and life changes for the New Year?
