Over the last few years as a family we have been immensely proactive at getting Joshua to swim properly and he currently goes weekly for lessons.
It has been an immensely difficult battle with Jacob as his water confidence was something we should have worked on well before he turned 5. He hates water in his face and has been sat in the same swimming group for quite some time even thought everyone else who started with him has now moved up, however he still refuses to put his face in the water but we are still going to persevere with helping him build his confidence.
Knowing that Joshua’s water confidence was not what we hoped for we decided that with Jacob we would start the swimming journey early.
A while before Christmas we applied for Jacob to become a Konfidence Swimologist as we had seen they were looking for UK blogger families to take part in sharing their little tots swimming journey’s and having been one of the very first Swimologist Ambassadors years ago with Joshua when he was around 3 years old we were really hoping we would be lucky enough to be picked for this wonderful opportunity again.
We were totally overjoyed on hearing that Jacob was in fact picked and was going to share his swimming journey with Konfidence as we were to become Swimologists for 2017. Just as we had done with Joshua only earlier this time round.
Not only were we so amazingly thrilled to be part of this years super talented group of blogger Swimologists we were also excited to be supporting a brand that we had adored since 2014 and our discovery of it.
We have been avid buyers of swimming products from the Konfidence range long after our ambassador role with Joshua had ended and have been MASSIVELY impressed with all the products we have used up to this point. Non more so than their amazing sun suits. We tried an alternative but it couldn’t hack the pace and use it got on our holidays so we went back to what we loved and bought the sun suits again for the last 18 months for Joshua who is very nearly 6.
I genuinely believe that learning to swim is immensely important to children and would go so far as to say its one of the key life skill that I think all children should learn so we couldn’t wait to start Jacob on his new learning journey.
So watch this space folks we are going to be sharing Jacobs swimming journey very soon.
Thanks for having us back Konfidence we cant wait to get going!
